About Jo

Jo2 SM.jpg

I started as a cadet photographer for The Advertiser in 1999 as a baby-faced 16-year-old. In 2012, with 14 years of great experiences and challenging photo-shoots behind me, I decided it was time to focus on my own business. And please only one editor - YOU the client. My job at the paper taught me how to take a great photograph in any situation - regardless of the elements involved. So I am confident I can work in any circumstances to achieve the pictures you desire. Thank you for taking the time to look over my website - I look forward to hearing from you!

My business name "photojo" came about from my volunteering for Camp Quality, where there were too many people named Jo. So I was known as Photographer Jo - and the perfect business name was born - photojo!

Photography @ photojo

I look forward to shooting all kinds of photographic assignments - from commercial photography, website refreshes or event coverage to family photos and pet portraits - and everything in-between. If you need professional photographs  - I'm keen to take them for you!

Workshops @ photojo

As well as taking photos, I would also love to share my knowledge of photography in the form of tuition workshops. I'd like to help people who have spent the money on a digital SLR camera to better understand how their camera works so they can use it to its full potential. If compact camera photography is more your style, then I have some simple tips to help you take better pictures with your happy snapper! I can also assist corporate clients, who need their staff to be able produce photos for newsletters or websites. I can teach them some simple yet effective, rules to take better photos - whatever their equipment. Send me an email or give me a call if this is something you are interested in, and I can formulate a package for you based on your needs. I'm happy to work with groups or one-on-one depending on your preferences. Thanks again for reading - speak to you soon! Jo
